INSPIRATION
In the second Dandelion Art Action, we tried to integrate contemporary art with traditional folk art. Gui Book is an attempt at this art action.
RESEARCH
By referring to contemporary artist Xu Bing’s work named Ghost Beating the Wall, we intended to record and select representative elements using local materials by collecting local folk characters and unique patterns (embroidery patterns, handwritten characters, etc.) to make it a more abstract form. The patterns of ethnic minorities originating from nature are artistically expressed by natural materials, and a book belonging to Danzhai is composed for everyone to appreciate and read.

Why Bridge?
In this project, we chose an ancient bridge for the exhibition. The first reason is that the height of the bridge is suitable for putting the works together. Second, the combination of bridge and flowing water means the fluidity and inheritance of art.
